Also known as “Taiwan Ruby” or “Red Jade,” is a distinctive Taiwanese black tea developed by the Taiwan Tea Research and Extension Station. A cross between the native Camellia sinensis var. formosensis and an Assam variety, this tea is primarily cultivated in the Sun Moon Lake region of Nantou County. No. 18 is renowned for its bold, smooth character and unique flavor profile, which features rich notes of cinnamon, mint, and a subtle sweetness reminiscent of wintergreen or eucalyptus.
